Madison Alexander is playing the role of Mrs. Lovett, and Joey Graham is playing the role of Toby, in CBHS production of “Sweeney Todd”, April 19-24.

Madison Alexander is playing the role of Joann in Germantown Community Theatre’s production of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, at GCT February 24 – March 11.

Benjamin, Megan, and Olivia Cheng were all featured in a recent Ducks Unlimited TV commercial.

Megan Cheng and Walker Askins were recently featured in a TV commercial for an anti-bullying campaign.

The following students auditioned and were selected to perform in the Germantown Kiwanis 2012 Young Artists Concert, on February 18 at GPAC.

Gabriella Gonzalez is playing the lead role in Lausanne’s middle school production of “Annie”, at Lausanne’s Elder Performing Arts Center February 23-24.

Leah Merritt will sing the National Anthem at the RiverKings hockey game, at the DeSoto Civic Center on February 18.

Kes Jackson is playing the role of “Jitterbug”, and Jewell Kirksey is playing the role of “Poppy”, in Riverdale Elementary School’s production of “The Wizard of Oz, Junior” May 10-12.

AnnaBelle Smith is playing the role of “Step Sister” in Elmore Park Middle School’s production of “Cinderella in New York.”

Abby Miller and Cristina Calchote will perform in the ECS middle school production of “School Daze!”.

Lexy Shemwell was selected to be on Fayette Academy’s 7th Grade Homecoming Court.

Will Alexander (Jimmy) and Madisen White (Shelia) will perform in New Day Theatre’s production of “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing”, March 2-4 at Harrell Theatre.

House of Talent student Kathryn Sterling will perform in ECS High School’s production of “Beauty and the Beast”, under the direction of Lorraine Cotten. Kathryn will play the role of one of the “silly girls”. Break a leg Kathryn!

Six House of Talent students captured the hearts and imagination of young and old alike, when they performed in Playhouse on the Square’s “Annie”. Thanks for the great run girls.

Madi Alexander recently took center stage playing the role of “Susan”, in Germantown Community Theatre’s “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. GCT’s intimate theatre made for a fantastic venue, and the show was a big success. Congrats Madi!

Congratulations are due to all of our students who performed in the 2011 Mid South Fair Youth Talent Contest.

In the junior division, we were represented by Dani Chaum, Megan Cheng, Taylor McManus, Leah Merritt, Madisen White, and Aireal Wilson. Madisen White was the proud winner of the First Sweepstakes Award, which came with a $300.00 prize and a big trophy. Way to go Madisen.

In the senior division, we were represented by Madison Alexander, Sydney Bell, Esther Bowen, Jordan Davis, Callie Hauss, Emily Heath, Holland Payne, and Lexy Shemwell. Sydney Bell and Jordan Davis made it all the way to the finals, which is quite an achievement.
